Acceptable Use & Job Posting Policy
Last updated: September 9, 2026 · Version 1.0
This policy sets out what may and may not be posted, sent or automated on LaunchBae. It forms part of the Terms of Service, so breaching it breaches those Terms.
It applies to everyone — candidates, employers, recruiters, institutions and interviewers — and to everything you put here: a job listing, a profile, a message, an assessment answer, a shortlist you export.
1. Who this applies to
This policy sets out what may and may not be done on LaunchBae. It forms part of the Terms of Service, so breaching it breaches those Terms. It applies to everything you post, upload, send or automate here — a job listing, a profile, a message, an assessment answer, a shortlist you export.
We would rather state the standard plainly than reserve a vague right to remove anything we dislike. Where we do act, we say which rule was broken.
2. Rules for job postings
Every listing must be
- A genuine, currently open opportunity — not a pipeline-building exercise, an evergreen advert for a role that does not exist, or a duplicate of a listing you already have live.
- Posted by someone authorised to recruit for the named organisation, with that organisation named. A staffing agency posting for a client says so.
- Accurate about the work, the location and whether it is remote, hybrid or on-site, and about whether it is a job, an internship, an apprenticeship or a contract.
- Accurate about compensation, including whether an internship is paid or unpaid, and about any stipend, equity or variable component.
- Compliant with applicable employment, equal-opportunity and advertising law.
No listing may
- Charge a candidate a fee of any kind — registration, training, security deposit, kit, placement or otherwise. This is the single most common shape of recruitment fraud and we treat it as disqualifying.
- Discriminate on grounds protected by law, or state a preference on those grounds, whether in the requirements, the title or the description.
- Require a candidate to buy a product, take a paid course, or make a payment to be considered.
- Be a front for collecting personal data, generating leads, marketing, or recruiting into a multi-level or commission-only scheme presented as employment.
- Contain unpaid work presented as an assessment beyond what is reasonable to evaluate a candidate, or ask for work product the employer intends to use.
- Include contact routes designed to move the candidate off-platform before any screening — a personal messaging handle in place of a company address, for example.
- Contain malware, phishing links, or links to a site that does either.
We may verify an employer before or after a listing goes live, may remove a listing that breaches this policy, and may suspend an account that repeats the breach. A pattern of fee-charging or fraudulent listings ends the account.
3. Rules for candidates
- Your profile, resume, education, employment history and portfolio must be true. AI may help you write them; it does not license you to invent them.
- You may hold one account, in your own name.
- Sit your own assessments and interviews. Having another person, a second device or a screen-sharing helper stand in for you is impersonation, and proctored assessments are described to you before they begin.
- Do not submit somebody else's work, code or writing as your own.
- Do not apply in bulk through automation you did not get from us, and do not use the Platform to harvest employer contact details.
4. Rules for employers, recruiters and institutions
- Use candidate data for the role you received it for. Do not resell it, do not add it to an unrelated marketing list, and do not feed it into a product of your own.
- Do not export or scrape the candidate database wholesale. Search and shortlist for real roles.
- Do not contact candidates for anything other than the opportunity at hand, and honour a candidate who asks you to stop.
- Do not use the Platform to screen people out on protected grounds, and do not represent to a candidate that LaunchBae made the decision.
- Institutions: upload only students you have told, and only students who are 18 or older. Keep shortlists inside the drive they were built for unless your institution has chosen otherwise, and remember that a student's own account is theirs and not the institution's to control.
- Keep access to your organisation's seats to the named people who hold them, and remove people when they leave.
5. Rules for everyone
- No harassment, threats, hate speech, sexual content, or content that demeans a person or group.
- No impersonation of another person, company or institution, and no misrepresenting your affiliation with one.
- No unlawful content: infringing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise prohibited by Indian law.
- No spam, chain messages, or unsolicited commercial messaging through Platform messaging.
- No scraping, crawling, or automated access we have not authorised; no probing, load-testing, or attempting to defeat rate limits, authentication or tenancy boundaries.
- No attempt to access another organisation's or another person's data, and no use of a security flaw you find other than to report it to us.
- No reverse engineering of the Platform or its models, and no use of its output to train a competing model.
6. How we enforce this, and how you appeal
Depending on what happened and whether it has happened before, we may remove content, restrict a feature, suspend an account, or close one. Where the law requires us to act on notified content, we act within the period it requires. Where we suspect fraud against candidates we act first and investigate after, because the harm lands on the person with the least power in the exchange.
We tell you what rule was breached and what we did about it, unless a law or an active investigation prevents us.
To report a breach of this policy, or to appeal an action we took against you, write to the Grievance Officer in the Grievance Redressal Policy. Appeals are decided by a person, within the published window, and can be granted.
